So, I only have a week until I leave, and there's so much I still have to do when it comes to packing. Trying to pack a year's worth of clothes into a 34" inch duffel bag is like stuffing an elephant into a needle. You just can't do it!! Looks like mom and dad will be shipping some of my clothes to me once I get my new address. :)
In the month since my last post, I've received my teaching assignment, met a young lady from California that's arriving in Beijing on the same flight I am and working for an EF centre close to mine (so there's the possibility we may be roomies), and started the process of looking at apartments (thank goodness for a social network of solely EF teachers that are free in their advice giving when it comes to agents to work with!). I'll be teaching at Beijing Centre 3, which is located in the Chaoyang District - home to the embassies, shopping malls, the art scene, etc., so I will have a lot of fun on my days off!! Whoo-hoo!!
